"Silver Twist" is a stainless steel and dichroic glass sculpture created by artist Gordon Huether. It is located on the backside of the building at 2300 Empire St near the intersection. Dichroic very basically means that the glass appears different colors when viewed from different directions. I really enjoyed how it reflects the flowers that are planted around it. The "twist" creates a lot of interest all the way around. |

Dale Claude Lamphere is the sculptor of this beautiful and shiny stainless steel work of art found at the corner of Olive and Lake. The piece is entitled "Water and Light" and the words written on the plaque say
"This sculpture celebrates the function of Burbank Water and Power in the generation and distribution of resources to the community" Behind the sculpture in the lower picture you can see part of the water and power plant complex. |
